The Undergraduate Research Program (IPre) is an initiative of the School of Engineering, designed to promote undergraduate research through a system of courses with curricular advancement available even for first-year students. Its flexibility allows students and mentors to do research during the semester or vacation period. The interdisciplinary spirit of UC Engineering has made the IPre Program available to other Schools, including Design, Physics, Education, Medicine, Biological Sciences, and Theater, offering high-impact experiences for all UC students.
